YOU AGAIN review of DVD/Blu-ray by John Delia

The comedy You Again provides a lot of laughs from the oddball characters and kooky plot in this newest Touchstone Pictures DVD/Blu-ray release from Disney. It even plays better on the small screen because you can rewind the laughs and replay some of your favorite scenes. Mostly aimed at the girls the film can be watched by most all the family.

KING OF PAPER CHASIN’ on DVD review by John Delia

Here’s a film that takes you into the hip-hop world of crime and suspense. It’s called Kind of Paper Chasin’ and recording artist, producer and actor Dwayne “DL” Clarke tells it like it was in his hood. Loosely based on true events, the movie rolls out down and dirty in all aspects of the life of this callous drug dealer and rapper.

SHAKE HANDS WITH THE DEVIL on DVD review by John Delia

This gut wrenching true story, Shake Hands with the Devil, reminded me a lot of Hotel Rwanda, but that isn’t a bad thing. The film brings to light more of the atrocities, reasons for war and the intimidation the UN peace keepers had to face. Incredible good filming presents the era, country and it’s people realistically both in a period of adjustment and conflict. I liked this film very much and recommend it highly to those who want a taste of Director Roger Spottiswoode suspense filled storytelling.

THE NARNIA CODE on DVD reviewed by John Delia

Making a case for a third and secret level within the” Narnia” Books by C.S. Lewis, Dr. Michael Ward presents his theory in The Narnia Code and I found it very interesting. It’s a new way to look at the “Narnia Chronicles” that were written over a half a century ago and a reason to watch the films all over again. The DVD has some very cool bonus features that will enlighten you as well.

WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS on DVD/Blu-ray

The release of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps on DVD/Blu-ray brings a lot of good features. Viewing the film itself in this format and venue allows you to slow down the action, replay a scene that may have been misunderstood and allows you to play it whenever you want. Well I’m sure you already knew that, but I just wanted to emphasize it due to the nature of this film. Coupled with the outstanding bonus features, this is probably the best buy at your local video store.
