Now on DVD, G-Force is still a very good family film filled with comedy and adventure that kids and most parents will like.  The only difference here is the loss of in theatres only 3-D which made the film an even bigger hit.  That said, your tots will love the film’s many bonus features and the ability to see G-Force over and over and over again.

The movie centers on a special ops force trainer Ben (Zach Galifianakis) who

has put together a secret espionage crew of specially trained guinea pigs.  When the story begins we are informed that there is a sinister plot that may involve the takeover of the world.  G-Force guinea pigs Darwin (Sam Rockwell), Blaster (Morgan), Juarez (Cruz) and a star-nosed mole named Speckles (Cage) jumps into covert action in an attempt get the goods on the leader of the menacing faction.  The team fails and the feds threaten to disband the experimental squad, but Darwin is determined to press on to the very end even if he doesn’t have government support.

The cute furry stars of the film are fun to watch as they get in and out of trouble.  Darwin’s the strong-minded squad leader and Blaster’s a weapons

expert who has a crush on the third member of the team, devilish martial arts expert Juarez.  But the funniest of the crew is a member that joins the trio named Hurley (Favreau) overweight and very furry little guinea pig that steals the show with his crazy antics and anal explosions.

Bonus features include a very comical Blasters Boot Camp, G-Force Mastermind featurette, Bloopers, three Music Videos and a digital copy you can use when you are on the go.  If you have Blu-ray you may want to get the combo pack that has exclusive extras like Cine Explore With Darwin, Blaster and Their Creator, Access Granted: Inside The Animation Lab and more.

G-Force hits home with the 3s to early teens and should sit well with parents.  The PG rating is for some mild violence and Hurley’s gas attacks.

FINAL ANALYSIS: A kid friendly fun DVD for the whole family. (5 of 5 Palm Trees)
