The Harry Potter films apparate every so often before audiences who already know the plots thoroughly. The latest, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” now on DVD, drops large chunks of story and several characters in favor of relative brevity (it’s still 2½ hours long) and directorial flair.
