BURBANK, CA — December 15, 2010 — The original motion picture score for TRON: Legacy, composed and produced by the iconic and critically acclaimed Grammy® Award–winning French duo Daft Punk, debuts on the Billboard 200 at No. 10, scanning over 70,000 units in it’s first week of release (according to Nielsen SoundScan).
On December 18, twenty young classical musicians will make their way to “Casa Linda,†the spectacular mansion recently featured on MTV Teen Cribs (and in which rappers T-Pain and Flo Rida filmed the video for their hit single Zooksgirl), to spend six days in a program that founders Sandy Marcucci, a “Juilliard Mom,†and Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violin of the Philadelphia Orchestra, call “Classical Music Boot.”

“Mao’s Last Dancer†is a true rags-to-riches story with a controversial theme based in the world of international ballet. Based upon his book, it portends to be the autobiography of 1980’s Chinese Ballet sensation Li Cunxin, who gained international fame with the Houston Ballet Academy.

I wish I could say that The American is a thrill a minute, but it isn’t. It would be nice if I could tell you that the story is something new and different, but not that either. I want to say that George Clooney does a terrific job of acting, well THAT I CAN SAY and it saves the movie. The film targets the over 20’s male that likes suspense, intrigue with slow moving character and story build up. The ladies will love George Clooney.

“The Last Songâ€, The Dolphin Foundation and The Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment are co-hosting a special beach clean-up along the beautiful Key Biscayne shoreline. The Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is providing an opportunity for everyone who attends this beach clean-up to register and win a copy of “The Last Song†on Blu-rayâ„¢+ DVD Combo Pack at this special event.

Wow! Step Up 3D takes dance to a higher level through three-dimension cinematography with explosive eye-popping dance routines. Tweens to Twenties will get the most out of the film, especially if dance and music fuels your fire.

Last year’s Coco Before Chanel now continues with a new lead actress and very brazen content. Beautifully photographed and directed, Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky is a gem for the art lover and film buff. If you have been smitten by Chanel’s rise from rags to riches, then this is a must see film.

In the first film, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Larsson’s story and characters were artfully condensed down to a manageable size and the director and cast were able to achieve a logical, articulate, and breathtaking chase against time to solve a 40-year-old cold case, while introducing two instant classic screen characters. A thoroughly entertaining film, I highly recommend seeing it (now out on DVD).
