WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS written review

It’s not often that a good drama comes to the screen that’s able to captivate without car chases, murder or action sequences to keep the audience entertained. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps put on a great show that held my attention from the opening scene to the final touching conclusion. However, that said, if you are going to see this film, check out the original, as there’s minimal character development of some of the key characters here.

ANIMAL KINGDOM written review

Looking for a gritty crime drama that stops at nothing to startle, evoke ire and create tension? Well look no further than Animal Kingdom, a crude tale of a disturbed crime family. The production is very good with terrific acting, direction and cinematography.

The film gets top marks from this critic in all departments, acting, directing, cinematography and storyline. Although some may say that the film has flaws, I can’t find a contender this year that can boast a more perfect entrant into Hollywood’s most prestigious awards race.

EASY A written review

Disappointing tops the list of words that come to mind after seeing Easy A. The storyline is trite, casting not up to par and the direction bored me with mundane characters. It’s a teenage film that brings more fantasy than reality.

THE VIRGINITY HIT written review

Pick up your video cam, take on a weird subject, make it comical, put it up on YouTube and maybe, just maybe Will Ferrell will see and produce the movie for screens across the country. Made in documentary style, the wobbly movie containing scenes photographed using hand-held cameras and poorly framed images become unbearable at times.
