The Dolphin Foundation with volunteers will protect endangered sea turtles on a special beach pollution clean-up in honor the release of  “The Last Song†on Blu-ray™+ DVD Combo Pack
WHO/WHY: To officially launch the release of the Blu- rayâ„¢ and DVD Combo Pack of “The Last Songâ€, The Dolphin Foundation and The Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment are co-hosting a special beach clean-up along the beautiful Key Biscayne shoreline. The Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is providing an opportunity for everyone who attends this beach clean-up to register and win a copy of “The Last Song†on Blu-rayâ„¢+ DVD Combo Pack at this special event.
WHAT: The Dolphin Foundation, in conjunction with The Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment in support of the release of “The Last Song†on Blu-rayâ„¢ and DVD will provide the South Florida community a chance to embrace the appreciation and love for sea turtles—a reoccurring theme in the film, “The Last Songâ€. This event will be hosting an educational and fun filled beach clean-up along the The Dolphin Foundation’s adopted beach on Key Biscayne. The Dolphin Foundation will provide the following educational and fun opportunities for everyone who attends this special event:
- An educational nature talk concerning sea turtles and their safety in their natural habitat of South Florida
- A fun scavenger hunt to collect marine-debris to protect the endangered sea-turtles & our oceans.
- A raffle to win “The Last Song†on Blu-ray and DVD
- A Back-To-School “Green†appearance by Mermi The Mermaid
WHEN: Tuesday, August 17, 2010 2PM-5PMÂ
WHERE: Hobe Beach, Key Biscayne, FL *Directions to the Beach Clean-Up are as follows: Key Biscayne is located along the Rickenbacker Causeway. The Beach Clean-Up is located before the toll exit, keep right and straight until the u-turn under the bridge. After that, keep straight until you get to the first entrance of the beach after the u-turn. Keep in mind that the beach used to be called Hobe Beach but there is no longer any signage. It is now The Dolphin Foundation’s Beach Clean-Up Adopted Spot.
