HOW DO YOU KNOW review by John Delia

Now on screens everywhere How Do You Know, a lively romantic comedy that hits a home run in acting, direction and screenplay. The film does what most comedies seem to have missed, entertain with heart. If you like your romance with an interesting story, fun characters and a lot of energy, then How Do You Know should be high on your list.

TRON: LEGACY review by John Delia

Gamers and action junkies will have a treat in store with the release of Tron: Legacy a computer game plot with spunk. The fast paced adventure may be a sequel, but plays well to first timers. If there is a downside to the film, it’s that adults 35+ will probably not like or even understand the storyline. But, if your ilk is getting in front of a screen with your X-Box and driving home a winner, then Tron: Legacy should get your motor running.

NARNIA: VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER review by John Delia

This has been one the most witty and CGI enjoyable films of the Chronicles of Narnia saga. It is very family friendly and has good messages and meaning. It is truly a family film that can be enjoyed by all. If you want a good early evening or weekend afternoon of enjoyment The Voyage of the Dawn Treader can be a fine adventure for the whole family.

HARRY POTTER and the DEATHLY HALLOWS Pt.1 review by John Delia

Going over in my mind the adventures of Harry Potter who gets thrust into wizardry in a strange school never knowing what the future will bring, I found the first six films increasingly enjoyable. During each year at the academy of dark arts, Harry and his friends fight their way out of perilous situations. With this final book the boy wonder is now an adult and is still trying to figure out his destiny, but this time Harry and his friends are on the run from ‘you know who’.

UNSTOPPABLE review by John Delia

Incredible as it may seem Unstoppable takes a ‘what if?’ premise and turns it into an event. Inspired by a true occurrence, director Tony Scott sculpts a high energy thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat from it’s suspense filled beginning to the cringing end of the line. If you are familiar with Tony Scott’s work then you know his brand of explosive storytelling aimed at thrill seekers and Unstoppable tops his list.

MORNING GLORY review by John Delia

If Rachel McAdams ever needed uplift in her career, Morning Glory does the trick. The very funny well-acted script puts McAdams in the thick of things and she shines. The chemistry among the star-studded cast keeps the laughs coming all the way to its touching ending. It may be a bit predictable, but most comedies are these days.

MEGAMIND review by John Delia

One of the top animated films for 2010 has hit the screen, and the adventure is fun to watch. Even though skewed a great deal toward an adult audience, Megamind does have all the silliness that children love. If you want a family film that reaches out to a wide audience and has excellent voice acting then you need to see Megamind.

THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET’S NEST review by John Delia

The final chapter of the perils of Lisbeth Salander, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest has come to theatres and it is a stinger. Tying up all the loose ends, giving credence to the first two episodes and adding an explosive ending, the film delivers the final blow. If you have seen the first two films, then this last one will give you closure.

THE GIRL WHO KICKED THE HORNET’S NEST reviewed by Alyn Darnay

Ok, let’s put it out there right from the beginning, the third installment of The Millennium Trilogy is as good or better than the rest of the series and a worthy addition. It recaptures the provocative appeal of the outstanding first film, tones down the action/violence of the second movie and wraps up everything with a true thrill ride consisting of an intelligent plot, the continuation of great performances by a very talented cast, and delivering a beautiful and most satisfying finale.
