Highly Recommended The Movie: Directed by John Flynn in 1977, Rolling Thunder , for whatever reason, never really got the respect it deserved. When you figure it was originally written by Paul Schrader, the man who wrote Taxi Driver and Raging Bull , and that it was one of Oscar winning actor Tommy Lee Jones’ first major film roles, you’d think more people would be aware of it
