Sex Tape (Blu-ray)
Skip It THE FILM: With Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz as the leads, I assumed there would be plenty of laughs in Jake Kasdan's comedy about a missing sex tape. I was wrong

Recommended The Movie: Previously released on DVD by Media Blasters/Shriek Show, Rino Di Silvestro's notorious Werewolf Woman (alternately known in domestically as The Legend Of The Wolf Woman ) lives again, now on Blu-ray courtesy of Raro Video. Those expecting something akin to a Lon Chaney or even a Paul Naschy style werewolf movie will no doubt walk away from this one scratching their heads …
Rent It I first saw Sergio Corbucci's Compa eros (1970) when it was part of a five-movie DVD boxed set called Once Upon a Time in Italy , released ten-odd years ago by Anchor Bay. Despite its reputation among Spaghetti Western buffs, I found the picture less interesting than three of the other titles in the set ( A Bullet for the General , Four of the Apocalypse , and Keoma ).
Highly Recommended Nekromantik: It's hard to fathom how desensitized I've become in the last 20-plus years. Way back in 1991 a little video store opened up in SE Portland, Oregon. It's since become an institution, but in those days Mike Clark's Movie Madness had the movies you couldn't find ANYWHERE.
Recommended I had seen Avalanche (1978) only once before, 35-odd years ago when it made its network television debut. Back then the movie struck me as curiously cheap-looking, like a TV-movie, and generally uninvolving with barely-sketched characters

Rent It THE FILM: Click an image to view Blu-ray screenshot with 1080p resolution. Seth MacFarlane swings hard and fast at an assault of incoming jokes, but the overall effect of A Million Ways to Die in the West is disappointing
Recommended When Meteor was new, in October 1979, I dragged several friends to see it, expecting something intelligent and full of spectacle. A science fiction-disaster film, it was, unusual for the time, rooted in sound science.
Highly Recommended Note : Although screencaps should only be considered an idea of what the disc looks like, click any capture in this review to expand the image to a full size .png. Writing a review of Obvious Child presents some obvious topics. Maybe I could focus on how the film is about a woman, and is written, directed, and produced by women as well, perspective that gives this charming and …
Highly Recommended The Movies: The eternally gorgeous Audrey Hepburn may not have been the most versatile of movie stars, but she certainly had “It” – that elusive quality known as charisma. Arriving on the scene as a sophisticated waif in a sea of voluptuous curves, she charmed audiences with a cultured, genial image full of inherent contradictions
