I grew up watching The Muppet Show on television every week and the new movie The Muppets has all the same characters as the program. The show hasn’t been around for a very long time so it was great to see the old gang getting back together. If your children like a lot of silliness and some lessons to be learned in a fun way, then I recommend taking them to see The Muppets.
Director Martin Scorsese takes his audience on a magical ride through a Paris train station in the adventurous tale Hugo. Graced with an amazing cast that makes his wonderful characters come alive, it’s an enchanting production.
It’s very hard to repeat a performance of a character after an 8-year hiatus from the role and Rowan Atkinson, as Johnny English just isn’t as funny anymore. Maybe its because I love Atkinson as Mr. Bean and in Johnny English Reborn the lack of the amazing wordless dialogue in Bean’s facial expressions are hard to forget.
Now here’s an entertaining film with no violence, sexual content, abusive language, shooting, blood, well any of that stuff that’s designed to ramp up your blood pressure. It’s called The Big Year and what a great respite from all that aggression that we are seeing at the theater lately. Very funny, quick paced and fit for the whole family.
The Inspiring, moving, poignant true story Dolphin Tale splashes into theaters this weekend with a family friendly theme that’s sure to touch your heart. Filmed in Florida where it happened it’s a movie about a dolphin that receives a compassionate helping hand and a strange new lease on life.
