RED TAILS, review by John Delia

George Lucas, known for his adventure and science fiction films, tears a page from the WWII war history book and produces Red Tails a true story of courage in the face of adversity and discrimination. Much like Spike Lee’s Miracle at St. Anna the backdrop of war becomes the field on which we see the selfless devotion of African-American soldiers helping to maintain a free world. I like the way director Anthony Hemingway tells his story based on true events with a kind heart and forgiving hand, even though the situation was probably more disparaging than he shows here.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL review by John M Delia Jr

If you are looking for amazing action with a good plot, along with great special effects, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is for you. With its non-stop adrenaline pumping, it keeps the audience riveted, especially with the IMAX effects that just blow you out of your seat. The IMAX projection during some of the explosions scenes really gives one the feeling that you’re taking the blast and wow that’s some experience.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL in IMAX review by John Delia

The word action has many meanings according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, but the definition of the word to me is Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. A non-stop thriller that gets so relentless there’s hardly time to catch your breath. If there’s one spy thriller you want to see on the huge IMAX screen this is it.

BREAKING DAWN, review by John M. Delia Jr

Kristen Stewart does an excellent job with her most difficult part of the series and displays much better expression throughout the story. The romantic connections throughout the series come to a climax, with Bella and Edward’s wedding. Her relationship with Jacob becomes stressed and the challenge to keep the bond between them strengthens when her pregnancy becomes life threatening.

LIKE CRAZY, review by John Delia

How to screw up your life without really trying seems to be the theme of the film Like Crazy an inconceivable little film that’s poorly written and delivered. Even with heartthrobs Anton Yelchin and Felicity Jones, the unlikely plot just kills any chance for a dramatic winner.

BREAKING DAWN, review by John Delia

Well the Twilight saga has finally reached its ebb with the first half of Breaking Dawn that opens this weekend in theaters around the world. Certainly expected to be earth shaking due to millions of young girls and twenty-something’s rushing to the box-office to get a look at semi-nude Robert Pattenson making love to his comely co-star Kristin Stewart. It’s all about the look and feel of the film that makes this one a winner.

REAL STEEL review by John Delia

It’s not Rocky, it’s Real Steel, but you would think you were watching the great boxing film in another dimension. The gritty, action packed fight film blows the lid off some extreme robots on it’s way to being an entertaining film for those who like a good punch fest. I liked this film for the action, comedy and father-son relationship.

Do you have your Action/Adventure fill for summer, or are you ready for more? Try Rise of the Planet of the Apes for a thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat.
