Here is a film called Shorts that was penned and directed by Spy Kid’s Robert Rodriguez who takes a simple storyline and turns it into a unique movie. Although unique is mostly considered good, in this case the word to me means extraordinary or odd or strange and unusual.

A raw action sarcastic dramady, Inglourious Basterds is one of Tarantino’s best no-holds-barred in-your-face who-the-hell-cares I’m going to film it for my audience and they will love it, masterpiece. If you are into tasteless humor with a lion’s share of brutal sadistic war related violence and a little tongue-in-cheek changing of military history, then jump in your tank and drive to the nearest theater with your best bud. The film is a hoot!

“KICKING OUT ALIENS” Starring: Sharlto Copley, Jason Cope, Nathalie Boltt, Sylvaine Strike, John Sumner and Vanessa Haywood Directed by: Neill Blomkamp MPAA Rating: R for

“AN UNCONVINCING DISAPPEARING ACT” Starring: Rachel McAdams, Eric Bana, Ron Livingston, Jane McLean and Arliss Howard Directed by: Robert Schwentke MPAA Rating: PG-13 for thematic

Going into this film I was wondering why I was covering a film called Bandslam, but I’m glad for the assignment. This sweet teen-tween film really rocks. Topped off by some great songs by Alyson Michalka and very good acting by a fine support cast, the movie is one of the teen oriented summer’s best.
