Now here’s an entertaining film with no violence, sexual content, abusive language, shooting, blood, well any of that stuff that’s designed to ramp up your blood pressure. It’s called The Big Year and what a great respite from all that aggression that we are seeing at the theater lately. Very funny, quick paced and fit for the whole family.

‘Kung Fu Panda 2’ gets real live tribute

Officials at Zoo Atlanta and DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (Nasdaq: DWA) have issued a joint announcement that the only giant panda cub born in the U.S. in 2010 has a name: Po. The name is a tribute to the lead character, Po the panda, in the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film, Kung Fu Panda 2, which will be distributed by Paramount Pictures starting on May 26, 2011.

GULLIVER’S TRAVELS review by John Delia

What’s extra good about the 3D movie Gulliver’s Travels is that it contains almost no offensive material, so most families can bring their children without too much worry that they will get offended. Even though we have Jack Black as the lead character there really isn’t a lot of rude humor. If you have young children and they like adventure films with comedy, then Gulliver’s Travels should make them happy.
