A rundown of the top shows coming out this month on DVD and Blu-ray.
August 15, 2012 Though it will forever be known as ‘that cricket film’, director Boyd Hicklin insists Save Your Legs isn’t really about sport. August 15, 2012 Pablo Lorrain’s film, starring Gael Garcia Bernal, traces the end of Chile’s ruling junta while questioning democracy.
This week brings one of the Spring’s hit movies, and one of last year’s sneakily successful TV shows along side some classic catalog titles from Disney and one of Mel Brook’s last good films. Not a bad week for DVD and Blu-ray.

At this point, we all know (or should know) that we can expect a Blu-ray re-release of just about every classic sci-fi film ever, but some catch our eye more than others. For instance, take a look at this limited-edition packaging for the 30th-anniversary Blu-ray of Steven Spielberg’s E. T.
This is a good week for some of the most interesting films of 2012 so far, and some of the best television going these days. There’s also one of Madonna ’s big “Gimme an Oscar†movies, and some Criterion awesomeness.
This week’s got piles of new and classic releases to choose from, which is good news for film fans, and bad news for pocketbooks. One of the year’s most notorious flops is hitting DVD and Blu-ray a scant three months after its theatrical run, and there are some modestly good Clint Eastwood films as well.
