The new offerings give consumers alternatives to BSkyB, the nation’s largest pay-TV provider, the Competition Commission said in a statement. The commission provisionally found in August that BSkyB’s control over the market led to higher prices and reduced choice for subscribers.
The Competition Commission has performed a U-turn and ruled that Sky Movies does not give BSkyB an advantage over rivals in the pay-TV market.
