In Time (Blu-ray)

Rent It Time is money. No, really! I mean that totally literally, and if you somehow manage to miss that pun the first time through, In Time will help you out by repeating it over and over and over and over and over and over [click on the thumbnail to enlarge] … Read the entire review

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (Blu-ray)

Recommended THE FILM: By dialing back the weed humor and bringing the action home for the holidays, A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas earns fresh laughs despite its string-of-high jinks story. Stoners need not worry; pot still plays a central role in the plot, as does cocaine and a waffle-making robot, but the follow up to Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and Harold & Kumar Escape from …

Drive (Blu-ray)

Recommended And the award for “Most Overrated Film of 2011” goes to…well, something else, but Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive might be somewhere down the list. To be fair, this suspenseful character study has plenty of highlights: a great soundtrack, solid performances and a thick atmosphere, for starters. Hell, the opening sequence alone is almost worth the price of admission.
