The New York Times film critics on “The Avengers,†“Last Call at the Oasis†and “First Position.â€
LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) – Warner Bros. has stopped selling its new releases to Blockbuster in an attempt to force the chain to accept a 28-day rental window.
Sometimes you come across a film that surprises you with an interesting portrait of a person who achieved fame after his death. This is the case of Sholem Aleichem: Laughing in the Darkness, a biographical documentary about Sholem Rabinowitz the writer of the musical Fiddler on the Roof.
The gripping story based on Saint Josemaria Escriva called There Be Dragons opens in theaters and it’s a must see for drama lovers. It’s a film of Saints and sinners, war and romance that puts its weight on the power to forgive. I liked the film for the knowledge of the period, the development of characters and direction by writer Roland Joffe.
