After the Avengers: Endgame and with the loss of fifty percent of the population returned from the dead (In Avengers Infinity War, Thanos powered up the Infinity stones), things began to go back to normal. But there was a change when the people returned. They did not age and came back where they were previous to the event occurring. The problem was however, that five years had passed. People who did not get wiped out aged five years, while the returnees did not age at all. Things adjusted slowly and life returns back to what is was.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland) was happy that most of his friends disappeared like he did and then returned so they were all back together in school as if nothing had happened. His best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) was his usual self and they both were trying to figure out where they both fit in. Peter now has a crush on Michelle Jones “MJ†(Zendaya) and is trying to figure out when and where he wants to reveal this to her.
With the class preparing for a trip to Europe, things are getting exciting for Peter and his friends. But occurrences begin to start happening again all over the world. In the midst of things Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), his assistant, come across a new superhero, Quentin Beck/Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). They find him fighting against some sort of earth elemental. Peter is now needed and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), along with his Aunt May Parker (Marisa Tomei), try to get him ready to help defend the world, but Peter has other plans.
When the class begins their trip, led by Mr. Harrington (Martin Starr) and Mr. Bell (J.B. Smoove), things begin to get a little tricky. The entire group of Ned, MJ, Betty (Angourie Rice), Brad Davis (Remy Hill), and Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori), may be in danger because the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man’s tagging along and not attending to his important responsibilities.
Director John Watts does a very good job developing the storyline and blending the multiple stories that become inter-twinned throughout the film. He keeps things entertaining and never leaves you wondering if something is missing. The fantastic special effects are placed well and in most cases develop the characters or creatures abilities perfectly.

This action filled adventure will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering if Peter ‘s going to be able to defeat these villains and save his friends as well. As Spider-Man, Peter is now becoming a true hero, but is he ready for what’s at stake? You’ll only know if you see the film.
Final Comment: I based my grade on the explosive storyline and the amazing special effects. 4.5 out of 5 Stars
