This trailer is refreshingly non-treacly, especially when you consider the source (Disney). Sure, most of the leads are in their early 20s — casting barely legals as high-school students is nothing new — but we’re feeling as though this big dance might have more in common with your typical “Glee” episode than “High School Musical”. That said, the lack of starpower (most of these kids are only fairly well known) didn’t bode well for the Fame remake.
