Review by John Delia
Cute, cuddly and totally tot entertainment Pop Star Minnie has arrived on DVD. The young child friendly episodes are perfect entertainment for the little ones and even older children can chime in on the songs. Just in time for Valentine’s Day the DVD includes an inflatable guitar.
Of course the excitement begins with the opening of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Mickey inviting kids to join him in all the fun. Completely interactive, Mickey asks the children if they know the magic words so they can begin.
The adventure begins with Minnie being invited to sing at her very own Pop show. But when the gang goes to get their band instruments, they are missing. They get a clue to where they may have gone and Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy are on the track to get them back. Will they get them back in time for the concert?
In Mickey’s Clubhouse Rocks Mickey is going to have a clubhouse battle of the bands. But Mickey has a problem, he has to find an ending to his new song.
In Minnie and Daisy’s Flower Shower the two girls want to put on a flower show in the park, but they don’t have any flowers. Will Professor Ludwig von Drake have the answer to growing enough flowers to make the show work?
Minnie’s Mouseke-Calendar finds the gang floating in air from a very windy day. They all run into the clubhouse, but not before Minnie’s calendar blows away. When the wind goes away Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto set out to find the calendar.
In the bonus episode found in the extras you’ll find Mickey’s Big Band Concert. In this episode they have a few tasks first, getting a name for the band and practicing.
Included in the Extras are two Minnie’s Bow-Toons called “Rooftop Repair†and “Alarm Clocked Outâ€. The two fun cartoons are just what the little ones need for some laughs.
FINAL ANALYSIS: Good wholesome fun and learning for even the youngest in the family. (A)
