Review by John Delia, Sr

Releasing Minnie’s Helping Hearts this week just in time for Valentine’s Day is a smart move on the part of Disney. The DVD features 8 episodes and each one is geared to the tots in the family. Filled with adventure and intriguing stories involving their favorite Disney Cartoon Characters, the hour and a half long DVD is a sure thing to keep the youngsters busy.

Each of the episodes should be fun for two’s to five and the adventure show always has a good ending with a lot of family values.

In this DVD they have included the following episodes. “The Happiest Helpers Cruise” finds Minnie and Daisy helping out at the Valentine’s Day Cruise as cruise directors. “The Big Broadcast” puts Minnie and Daisy in charge of announcing the annual Mud Race. In “Adventures in Buddysitting!” Daisy and Minnie find them overloaded with children when they volunteer to babysit nearly every child in the village. “Lights! Camera! Help!” finds Minnie and Daisy as personal assistants to the famous movie star Portia the Hound.

Daisy and Minnie guard an art museum

In “Grandpa Beagle’s Day Out” the two girls volunteer to watch Billy Beagles grandfather so he can be the announcer at the X-treme Games and he becomes a handful. The episode “Artful Helpers” have Daisy and Minnie guarding an art museum. The funny short “Cuckoo La-La” features a fashion show where Minnie and Daisy get to model all the new fashions. Finally “Figaro’s New Friend” has Daisy and Minnie taking care of a ‘wound up’ Pluto so Mickey can rebuild an engine in a car.

The DVD can be set to play all of the episodes in a row or you can select individual episodes one at a time. Listed as TV-Y it should be safe for all ages.

A fun 90 minutes that should keep even the youngest family member entertained. (For kids 4 out of 5 stars)
