Miami, FL — Miami Dade College’sacclaimed Miami Film Festival GEMS  2017 is supporting the victims of Hurricane Irma with the recent addition of The Leisure Seeker to their GEMS lineup. The film, directed by Italian filmmaker Paolo Virzi, was shot in Key West and stars Academy Award-winner® Helen Mirren and two-time Golden Globe-winner® Donald Sutherland, as they recapture their passion for life and their love for each other on a road trip that provides revelation and surprise right up to the very end. All ticket sale proceeds will be donated 100% to the United Way of the Florida Keys for the Hurricane Irma Relief Fund.

“We are thankful to Sony Pictures Classics for the opportunity to showcase a film that not only was partially shot with such a phenomenal cast in Key West, an important and iconic staple of our community, but also because 100% of all proceeds will go directly to those affected by Hurricane Irma in that area,” said Jaie Laplante, director of Miami Film Festival.

Tickets for this screening will be $13 and the show time will be on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 1:00pm. No discounts, promotions, or All-Access Passes may be used.
