CELEBRATING THE FEST’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY
Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival
Unveils 25th Anniversary Poster and
announces Films & Celebrity Guests for upcoming event
(Fort Lauderdale, FL) September 15, 2010 – Last night, September 14, over 200 people attended the pre-fest kick-off party and poster unveiling for the highly anticipated 25th Anniversary edition of Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLiFF). The event took place at Himarshee Grill in Fort Lauderdale.  The 25th Annual film festival will take place October 22 – November 11 but, there is a host of pre-fest activities and films beginning September 27 at Cinema Paradiso. Among them are FLiFF Rewind, a presentation of popular films that were presented during the 25 years of the festival, from 2009 to 1986.
Internationally recognized photographer, Peter Langone, who captured the image for the poster and graphic designer and owner of BrightPink Studios, Madalina Iordache-Levay, who designed the graphics were on hand for the unveiling of the poster by  Betsy Cameron, Chairman of FLiFF.
Gregory von Hausch, President and CEO of FLiFF, for the past 22 of the festival’s 25 years, announced several of the films and celebrity guests for this year’s event and commented, “This looks to be one of our most exciting film festivals ever in the history of our 25 years. The films are just great, almost all will be accompanied by a filmmaker and -or a celebrity guest.”
Von Hausch went on to announce the opening Night film, NICE GUY JOHNNY, to be attended by actor/writer/director Edward Burns (the Brothers McMullen, She’s The One) and stars of the film Kerry Bishé (Scrubs) and Matt Bush (Adventureland, Halloween). Closing night film will be Casino Jack starring Kevin Spacey as lobbyist extraordinaire – Jack Abramoff and an all-star cast including Barry Pepper, Jon Lovitz among others.
