Review by John Delia, Sr.

A fun animated Disney youngster series “DuckTales: Destination Adventure!” Is perfect for 7 and up to pre-teens. Filled with a lot of situation comedy, each of the episodes take viewers on mysterious journeys from discovering Egyptian relics to climbing impossible mountains. Nicely animated in the old school style, the series is not only fun, but enjoyable to watch.

In episode one called “The Beagle Birthday Massacre!” we find Huey, Dewey and Louie attempting to take Webbigail “Webby” on a boat trip. But, the boys combined with Webby are too heavy for the boat. Webby wants to stay behind and she soon finds a bottle with a message floating to the shore. This leads her to Lena who invites her to a party. When they find that the party is for Ma Beagle of the Beagle gang, the two look for an escape.

“The Living Mummies of Toth-ra” finds the boys flying with Scrooge McDuck for a trip to Egypt. When he crashes his airplane into a pyramid the group realizes that they are in for a mysterious meeting with the past.

That will give you some idea of the adventures and the title’s should give you a taste of what’s to come. The final four regular titles are “The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverest”, “The Spear of Selene!”, “Beware the B.U.D.D.Y. System”, and “The Missing Links of Moorshire!” The bonus episodes are two final adventures “New Gizmo- Kids on the Block” and “Ducky Mountain High”.

Disney “DuckTales: Destination Adventure!” episodes are rated TV-Y7 and are rated for mature children who like adventure and mystery and were aired on Disney XD. If you have youngsters under 7, please watch the series first and then make a judgement on which of the episodes they may be able to handle. The movie trailer on the DVD is for “Incredibles 2” and features a teaser snippet starring baby “jackjack”.

FINAL ANALYSIS: The stories are interesting, above average and do have many attributes for youngsters. (3.5 out of 5 Stars)
