TOMBSTONE now on Blu-ray

Now on Blu-ray HD Tombstone, which was originally released in theatres in 1993, becomes an event rather than just a DVD. The film features great cinematography that lends to the action and drama of this very good western. The remarkable picture showing the old west in all it’s glory and gore is definitely worth a watch.

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID written review

With very little at the theatres these days for the pre-teen, along comes Diary of a Wimpy Kid just in time to fill the void. The fun little film about a middle school student trying to fit in addresses many of the problems of today’s youngsters while providing enjoyable entertainment. If you are a member of the target audience Wimpy Kid is a must see.

THE LAST STATION Written Review John Delia

The period piece The Last Station has garnered accolades by the Academy of Arts of Sciences with Oscar nominations for Helen Mirren and Christopher Plumber and rightly so. Their performances in this film make it more than worthwhile to see. If you like a good story of romance, beauty and great costumes, then run to see The Last Station.

If you think picking the best films for any one given year is easy, try 2009 with the most diverse genre’s, slick CGI magic and A-list actors taking on some amazing roles. Of the hundreds of movies I have seen this year only a little over 30 were memorable enough from which to consider for my following top ten. Although probably only a small percentage may end up on the short list for best film by the Academy of Arts and Sciences, never-the-less the choices below either impressed, shocked, spun me around, informed, inspired but mostly entertained me to the point that I would want to see them again and again.

hey’re back and meaner than ever, the adrenaline filled series that had me again on the edge of my seat, Sons of Anarchy. As a press person, I was treated to the first five episodes and they were more than enough to feed my addiction to the weekly episodes.
