YOUNG GOETHE IN LOVE, review by John Delia

I found something cool for you romantics, an adorable period piece with substance. Based on a true story the movie is called Young Goethe in Love and if you had a female English Literature teacher in High School like I did, then you probably have heard of Johann Goethe. But, how he became the soul bearing person of historical importance is why you should see this film.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL in IMAX review by John Delia

The word action has many meanings according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, but the definition of the word to me is Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. A non-stop thriller that gets so relentless there’s hardly time to catch your breath. If there’s one spy thriller you want to see on the huge IMAX screen this is it.

Another fine adventure for the London detective becomes afoot in the newest 19th century Sir Arthur Conan Doyle crime film Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. YOUNG ADULT, Review by John Delia

Take two aspirins and go to bed, a great remedy for Young Adult, an over stated understatement that never gets entertaining. Billed as a comedy, the more the cast tries to make it one, the lesser it becomes. If you like a film with angst riddled plot, underdeveloped characters and only one very good performance than you are the only demographic for this film.

One of the better foreign films to be released in the US, Le Havre makes a statement about human rights. I like the way the movie presents the characters, moves the story along and ends on an upbeat note. If you love movies that put some heart into the storyline, then go see Le Havre.

ANSWERS TO NOTHING, review by John Delia

Here’s an attempt to make a film where the audience has to get involved with many characters for an ending payoff. One problem with the movie, the title says it all, Answers to Nothing. Taking a shocking event and building a story around it can be very entertaining, but not if it gets overly complicated and that’s what happens in the film.
