The countdown has ended and The Hunger Games plays on screens all over the world. The film that has had more Twitter, Facebook and other social networking than any other film released in America now gets tested at the box office. But, do I think the film provides enough of the right stuff that will make it a winner? Well hell YES!

High energy, good acting and a diabolical plot turn Seeking Justice into a winner. Watching this film I found myself gasping for breath at times due to the impact that comes off the screen. It’s a ‘what if?’ kind of movie that creates panic as much as it amazes. If you like an adult thriller that never lets up, then your choice is easy, Seeking Justice.
What starts out as a horror flick turns into a terrifying mind-bender in the movie Silent House. Not a very good script and a bit too sophisticated for most fans of the genres, there’s little doubt that it will not last at the box office.
It’s cute, fun loving and complicated, yes Friends With Kids has all the markings of a chick flick. Yet for men the film does play well to couples, so gals grab a fine guy and drag him to see this funny little romantic comedy.
Technically John Carter shines as one of the better films I’ve seen in a couple of years. The CGI, make-up, puppetry, mixed with fine live action characterization alone is worth the watch. Melding all this technology with the amazing fantasy story by Edgar Rice Burroughs and you have an excellent movie going experience. Much like the film Avatar you don’t have to be a science fiction enthusiast to enjoy the adventure and fantasy.

Two of The Lion King trilogy, The Lion King 1 ½ and The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride now on Blu-ray. The two animated films include some good special bonus features and with the Blu-ray format the picture on my home entertainment center screen is sharper and the colors more vibrant.
