I saw Straw Dogs in theaters, but I could barely remember it before watching it again on Blu-ray. That’s rare when I recall almost nothing about a movie. And not a good sign, either.
‘Warrior’ If you missed this made-in-Pittsburgh movie the first time around — it opened in theaters Sept. 9, you have two new reasons to track it down. First, it’s available on DVD and Blu-ray (along with video on demand and digital download), and Nick Nolte is getting awards attention for his role as a retired steelworker on the brink of 1,000 days sober.
It’s coming down to the wire but there is time to pick up more video gifts and certainly collect some for yourself and that holiday movie marathon at your house. We’ve watched a comedy with penguins, a teen romance, a fun animated romp and a fun if scary thriller….
From my original Blu-ray review: “Despite being given a rather meaty special edition Blu-ray, this release does have one major drawback it’s missing the “Director’s Cut” both Stallone and Lionsgate touted during press rounds back in August 2010.
