Review by John Delia

Very raunchy, unhinged and unusual are the kinder words for this extremely chaotic and nasty sci-fi comedy. Called Butt Boy for a reason, the film is a hyper depiction of what would be called a tasteless act of a kind of sexual addiction. It’s Alcoholic Anonymous and Sex Addicts Anonymous meets psycho serial killer. I think. It actually made my mind envision something not in my realm of thought. That said, the film is in the same genre of “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes”, “Duck Butter”, “The Package”, “The Human Centipede”, “Ash vs Evil Dead” and “Sausage Party” to name a few. If you have seen any of these and were okay with it, then take a gander at Butt Boy.

An Information Tech, Chip Gutchel (Tyler Cornack) at RTM sales company, is trying to keep up with the flow of inane requests, but it’s getting quite brainless and boring. His home life with his wife and child is not all that exciting either. But things are about to change. You see Chip is getting his first prostate exam and no one who has had one, knows it’s a bit embarrassing that the doctor has to use his fingers to check out your lower colon.

Why this is important to the storyline? Well you see Chip is no ordinary guy and when the exam takes place it’s a strangely pleasurable experience for him. That night his wife finds him more amorous, but she’s not as cooperative as he would like. To offset the lack of enthusiasm by his wife Anne (Shelby Dash), Chip starts putting things up his butt to continue the pleasure he got at the doctor’s office. After some time he’s accumulated quite a lot of objects in the netherworld. However, when a child goes missing from a park, Chip’s life takes a wicked turn when Detective Russell Fox (Tyler Rice) comes calling on him.

Director and writer Tyler Cornack takes sex and comedy to another level as he puts Chip into some very “sticky” and “messy” situations that are stomach turning for those who get easily queasy. He does a pretty good job on filming, creating characters from his cast and use of locations on his noticeable low budget. And in spite of the low bank account, the high definition production value looks very good. His actors do make a good effort to fill the shoes of his characters, but with a script that’s all over the place, it’s not an easy task.

Tyler Rice as Detective Russell Fox in BUTT BOY from Epic Pictures

Butt Boy has not been rated by the MPAA, but contains sex, a lot of sexual innuendoes, a disgusting look inside an internal lower colon, language and some drug use. Be very cautious when deciding to allow immature children watch the film as it gets way over the top nasty at times.

FINAL ANALYSIS: Not your average movie, however the target audience may like the crazy idea. (2.5 out of 5 Stars for the fans)
