Nutty, quirky, silly, you can even call it ‘squirrelly’ Furry Vengeance is a great kid’s film all the way. The movie cruises along at a fair clip with a lot of pratfalls, blunders and humiliating situations providing comedy kids just love to watch. If you have youngsters between the age of 5 and 10, then start you engines and head out to see Furry Vengeance.

The Sanders family finds themselves in a utopian Mecca after Dan (Fraser) gets a transfer of his dreams, developing a village in the heart of the Oregon woods. After obtaining a foothold in the forest with several houses under construction, Dan gets a visit from a raccoon with a message, GET OUT! Well maybe not in words, but in deeds. Dan is a skeptical kind of guy and thinks it’s only a quirk that the crazy things going on around him, like being attached by bees, birds and bears are just coincidental. When the development company manager comes to visit Dan to oversee his progress, however, things start getting extremely ‘wild.’

Brendan Fraser is perfect for the role of Dan the rising star of a greedy development company. He has a good face for expressions and to pull off kiddy laughter Fraser makes a lot of funny ones. His bee sting face gives good example of some great make-up but his defeated expression is comically priceless. Getting hot coffee in his face, bird poop, even human poop and the biggest attack of all a car full of skunk spray turn his character into, well someone who you don’t want to get close to.

As for silly, your children will be howling with laughter at birds spreading their droppings in formation, Dan taking a bath in tomato juice, a raccoon driving a car aided by a skunk, a beaver driving an SUV, well you know all the stuff that kids would really love to happen in reality. Maybe that’s enough said, except for the parent who was badgered by their siblings to take them to see the film, sorry about that.
Furry Vengeance is rated PG for some rude humor, mild language and brief smoking.
FINAL ANALYSIS: A beast of the film for Adults, its pure adrenaline for kids. (3.5 of 5 Palm Trees)
