Miami, FL – The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) is proud to announce its 16th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Hosted on the grand Lynn Wolfson Stage located inside the Dorothea Green Theater at the Ziff Ballet Opera House, the Arsht Center Gala will celebrate the business of show business, showcasing the universal power of the performing arts to uplift and inspire. The evening will be themed to evoke the creative exuberance and joie de vivre of the Roaring Twenties via a speakeasy, prohibition-style immersive experience featuring an intimate supper club dinner on stage and a live performance by Miami’s own Jencarlos Canela (@jencarlosmusic) like he’s never done before. Fundraising proceeds from the Gala will support the Arsht Center’s mission-driven Arts Education and Community Engagement Programs, which continue to expand throughout Miami-Dade County, touching thousands of young lives each year.

The past two years have underscored the importance of philanthropy as an anchor of sustainability in turbulent times. The unwavering support of the Arsht Center’s philanthropic circle has made it possible for the Arsht Center to continue the mission-driven work of providing free programs and initiatives that connect all members of our community to the arts during these unprecedented times. Proceeds from the 16th Anniversary Gala will ensure our programs continue to serve the community in 2022 and far beyond.

The Gala’s Honorary Chair is Adrienne Arsht. Gala Chairs are Tony & Conchi Argiz; and Richard Milstein & Eric Hankin.

“Our annual Gala supports the critical work we do within our community, engaging with people from all walks of life, and providing free programming that is thoughtful and impactful. Now, more than ever, young people are leaning into the freedom of expression and exploration of self, and this is enhanced through the transformative power of the performing arts,” said Johann Zietsman, Arsht Center president and CEO. “Through the recent, successful premiere I am Me, a touring play specifically created to support the mental health and wellness of teens, we will continue to make impact in our own community and beyond. We look forward to reuniting with our philanthropic leaders to support this mission and toast the extraordinary business of show business!”

Table levels range from $100,000 to $10,000, and a limited number of individual tickets will be available at $1,500 per person. For more information about participation opportunities, please email esilverstein@arshtcenterfoundation.org, or call 786-468-2020.
