Mingle With Tom Berenger as He Receives the Career Achievement Award
Gasparilla International Film Festival Details Closing Night Festivities in Downtown Tampa
TAMPA, Fla. — On Sunday, March 27, the Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF) honors the career of Tom Berenger and helps close the festival with style. Guests can purchase $15 tickets to meet Berenger and see him receive his award at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Tampa Theatre.
This $15 ticket also gives people the opportunity to see the highly anticipated closing night film, “Square Grouper.†From the makers of “Cocaine Cowboys,†“Square Grouper†paints the vivid portrait of Miami’s pot smuggling culture in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
In addition to the closing night festivities, GIFF has planned a jam-packed, free block party at the 800 Block, North Franklin Street starting at 1 p.m. This is an extremely family-friendly event where children can enjoy face painting, balloon artists and hoola hoopers. Listen to live bands and even participate in a live casting call from Level Talent. Stay all day and night to see the fire eaters, contortionists and more.
For a more exclusive feel, join GIFF at the closing night party, as they turn the historic Kress Building into an edgy burlesque circus. The event is a private, ticketed party for ages 21 and up. Tickets are $100 and include entrance into the closing night film, an open bar during the party, food and entertainment.
